Hand weaved in Nepal

Cornhusk mat is a biodegradable mat used as dining placemats, kitchen accessories or wall decor. Hand weaved from the leaves of a maize plant; our corn husk mat is a purely natural product that does not cause harmful emissions during production, service life and after disposal.

Cornhusk is a lignocellulosic fibre that is extracted from the leafy outer shell of the maize plant. Like a cotton structure, cornhusk fibre is strong, durable and soft at the same time. It is a natural, renewable and biodegradable fibre that has the potential as a textile fibre.
